We purchased this property in 2006 after looking over a year to find a place that would be suitable for our adventure into farming. We have been working on outbuildings and fencing ever since! I thought that we had fencing down pat, but our first breeding season showed us that the fencing was not up to par. Two rams on different sides of the fence can do a lot of damage! We will be working on fencing again in the spring of 2009.

We started with chickens. Then came the sheep and goats. Alpacas have been added to our fiber animals. We will be spending the summer working on a bigger barn for hay storage and animals.

Our goal with our farm is to produce fine quality fleeces and rovings along with excellent meat from our animals. We are using sustainable farming practices to fully utilize our acreage. One of these practices is using our sheep to mow our grass! And the goats make the cutest weed wackers ever!

 Hope you enjoy our site!
